Converters

Convert common measurements, temperatures, and digital storage units with clear formulas.

Choosing well

Use the correct standard before converting

Conversion errors usually come from an ambiguous source unit rather than arithmetic. These pages distinguish US and Imperial gallons, decimal and binary storage prefixes, measurement families, and the different zero points used by temperature scales.

Length or mass

Unit Converter supports documented SI-based factors and prevents conversion between unrelated measurement families.

Fuel consumption

L/100 km to MPG Converter reports US MPG, Imperial MPG, km/L, and optional Canadian trip estimates.

Temperature

Temperature Converter supports Celsius, Fahrenheit, and kelvin and rejects values below absolute zero.

Digital storage

Data Storage Converter clearly separates decimal KB–TB from binary KiB–TiB.

A common mistake to avoid

Copy the unit label with the number. A bare value can become misleading as soon as it leaves the page: 30 MPG differs by gallon standard, 1 GB differs from 1 GiB, and a temperature needs its scale. Keep extra precision during the calculation and round only for the final use.

How these pages are reviewed

We test known reference values, reciprocal fuel formulas, absolute-zero validation, and exact decimal and binary byte factors. Displayed rounding is documented and should be matched to the precision of the original measurement.
